The Ionosphere

You may have learned at one point in your education about the different layers of the atmosphere. Our logo, the hot air balloon, normally floats amongst the clouds in the stratosphere. The ionosphere is one of the highest atmospheric layers that reflects radio waves and merges with the deep unknown of outer space. In naming ourselves after the furthest reaches of our world, one that is responsible for the aurora borealis and australis, we hope to encourage the students we support to break boundaries and take their own limitless journey beyond the ionosphere.

Iono currently sells products to give resources and opportunities to at-risk and low-income students in Thailand, however, we look to expand to other areas around the world.

With the money we raise, Iono creates “Flight Packs,” which are typically school supply packages. Each student receives supplies including: composition notebooks, pencils, rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners, and colored pencils.

We also contact administrators to ask what their schools need most. To tailor each donation, our donations may include puzzles and educational toys or sleeping pads.

In the future, we want to organize drives to donate and repurpose used books, lightly used shoes, and basic school uniforms.

With our support, we hope that every child can have the tools they need to explore, learn, and thrive.
